[Watch House Brand News] Exquisite leather craftsmanship meets high-end watchmaking skills, decorated with the Aaaaargh! Scarf Tyrannosaurus pattern designed by Alice Shirley, together to create a unique exquisite pocket watch.
The classic and unique round shape comes from the Arceau watch designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, combined with the asymmetrical lugs reminiscent of stirrups, fully demonstrating the extraordinary creativity, unique style and exquisite craftsmanship of Hermès. The classic and timeless silhouette is made of platinum, highlighting the ingenuity of leather craftsmanship and high-end watchmaking skills, and achieving a unique pocket watch masterpiece. The Arceau Pocket Aaaaargh! Pocket watch is equipped with a Hermès-made H1924 minute repeater and tourbillon movement. It has a fine white enamel dial and is properly protected by a cover decorated with a leather mosaic inlaid Tyrannosaurus pattern.
The Arceau Pocket Aaaaargh! pocket watch is another masterpiece of the British artist Al ice Shirley following the Slim of Hermes Grrrrr! watch’s wild bear and Arceau Awooooo’s moon wolf howling. More colorful. After a month of meticulous crafting, the watchmaking craftsman used the unique and superb skills of Hermès leather workshop to show the expressive posture of Tyrannosaurus rex with half-open jaws and focused eyes on the pocket watch.
The Tyrannosaurus rex pattern is created by a number of difficult crafts and is vividly presented on the watch cover, as if peeking out through the porthole. The head and scales are made of leather mosaic intarsia: thousands of colored leather fragments of various shapes are all hand-cut and pasted one by one to faithfully restore the original appearance of the work. The protruding eyes of the dinosaur are clearly visible from both sides of the cover, made of cabochon-cut Grand Feu enamel. The lower jaw and tongue are inlaid with leather detailing process: small pieces are cut out from the leather of various colors that have been thinned to 0.5 mm thick, and then spliced on the enamel base. The finishing touch of this miniature leather work is the green matte crocodile leather strap fixed to the rectangular stirrup-shaped lugs, making the overall design more distinctive.
